IBD Support Services

At The Capsule Clinic, we offer specialised IBD support services available as a subscription model or as a pay-as-go option.

This service is offered to patients suffering from inflammatory bowel disease and is designed to run in parallel to your NHS care. All clinical information from IBS support is shared with your NHS team, allowing continuity without compromise.

What IBD support offers:

Private IBD nurse support
Scheduled consultations with your IBD nurse
Comprehensive blood test monitoring
Drug trough levels to help optimise your IBD care
Stool testing to assess your IBD non-invasively
You’ll consult with a Consultant IBD expert twice per year to – review your results
Review of your diagnosis and multidisciplinary team review of radiology

Liver Care Services

At The Capsule Clinic we offer bespoke and specialised liver services, headed by Consultant Hepatologist, Dr Tim Cross.

We offer Liver MOT service for patients with abnormal liver function tests, as well as ongoing assessments for patients with established liver problems such as fatty liver, liver cirrhosis.

Alongside this service, we will be offering ultrasound scanning and liver elasticity testing to assess patients with liver fibrosis.

Dietetic Services

At The Capsule Clinic, we work closely with Christel Lyell, our gut health dietician expert.

Christel brings a wealth of experience in dietary advice for conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Coeliac disease, food intolerance as well as weight loss advice.

Christel is a member of the association of UK dieticians.

Clinical Services

Capsule Remote Service

At The Capsule Clinic, we are the only private facility in the UK that offers remote capsule endoscopy services.

This service allows us to send the capsule endoscopy equipment to your door. From there you will be supervised remotely on setting up the equipment and performing the capsule endoscopy in the comfort of your own home.

Subsequently, we arrange a courier to pick up the equipment the following day from your home address, to be downloaded at The Capsule Clinic.
